August 2011
August 27: This summer has flown by. We are now preparing for Regional Championships taking place the last weekend of September.
In July we went to Dressage at Devonwood which is always a fun show. Welsie made great strides in becoming a confident show horse. Michelle Anderson rode Molly who also put in much better tests than at previous shows, hooray! Natalie rode Taryn Yates' mare Orisis in the Intermediare One classes. They had solid tests and Natalie was very happy considering they had only been a team again for 2.5 months. We are hoping this mare will be ready for the Grand Prix ring next year!
Natalie and Welsie also travelled to Dressage at Lake Oswego Hunt in the beginning of August. This show has a lovely atmosphere and Welsie put in some decent tests and when she relaxed showed off her amazing talent! Natalie is thrilled with her progress this year.
Natalie rode Molly in our Central Oregon Dressage Society league show on August 14th and Molly had her best test to date! Hooray!
June 2011
June 13: This past weekend we had nine riders showing at the Central Oregon Dressage Classic! Laura Swenson and Lisa Koch both competed at fourth level and had some fantastic rides! Laura and Elle had huge improvements from the Heart of the Valley Show and Lisa earned a 65.5% and 66.5%.
Diane Willard rode her Appaloosa, Bodegah's Pegastar at 3rd level and earned qualifying scores for Regional Championships on both rides!
Natalie and Michelle Anderson competed Natalie's mare Molly in First Level at her second show ever. They had some rather rough rides as Molly reverted to some naughty behavior she hasn't displayed in a few months! By the last ride, progress was made and we now have hope that Molly will blossom and show the judges what she is truly capable of!
Tina Billings and her young Thoroughbred gelding, Brooks, ironed out some issues caused by an apparently very scary judges booth and put in a solid ride on Sunday in First Level Test 3.
Nancy Weaver and Zhorik DG rocked it the entire weekend and earned a 69.7% and 75.1% on Saturday and a 74.3% and 71.6% on Sunday at First level! Nancy brought home the high point award on both days!
Marsha Williams, who just started working with Natalie about a month ago, and her gelding Tiger got off to a good start at Second Level.
Leslie Urich and Bolsjoi put in solid tests at I-1.
Congratulations to all on a job well done!
June 5: Our first month at our new facility, Robertson Ranch, has flown by! The horses and people are all settled and happy.
Natalie, Michelle and Laura competed in the Heart of the Valley show at Devonwood in early May. Natalie and Michelle both rode young horses and had a successful, not too eventful show :-) Laura had some fabulous moments and is working to put them all together for her next show.
Natalie took Welsie to the Swing into Spring schooling show at Horse Butte Equestrian Center in the middle of May. Welsie was very good and is learning to relax and enjoy herself in the show ring, finally! Natalie also had many students competing at the show who all did a fabulous job and made us proud!
This coming weekend, many of us will be competing at the Central Oregon Dressage Classic at Brasada Ranch.
Lendon Gray is returning to Devonwood on June 18th and 19th. Natalie will be riding Welsie in this fabulous clinic!
April 2011
April 20: We are excited to announce that NPD will be relocating on May 1st to Robertson Ranch! This is a wonderful facility that will allow us to expand and hopefully settle in for quite a while! If you would like to join us there, we only have a couple of open stalls left so contact Natalie ASAP!
Look back in the next couple of weeks for pictures of this new facility!
April 9: Natalie and Welsie had the pleasure to ride with Lendon Gray this past weekend at Devonwood Equestrian Center in Sherwood Oregon. The clinic was fabulous and Natalie learned a lot from Lendon about developing young FEI horses. We are looking forward to the next clinic with Lendon in June!

February 2011
February 28: Hopefully March will bring some better weather our way! We have been experiencing high winds and snow for the past couple of weeks. Not very fun!
We are working on our show schedule for 2011. We will have riders competeing from training level up through FEI!
Yesterday, Natalie accompanied student Kaitlin Campbell to the Jumper Jackpot at Fruition Farm. Kaitlin rode beautifully and we had a great time!
Our first dressage show of the year will be the Spring League Show on May 15th at Horse Butte Equestrian Center.
February 10: February has brought fabulous weather our way and we will be very sad to see it leave and winter return! Natalie is very excited to announce she will be riding in the Lendon Gray clinic April 2-3 at Devonwood in Portland.
We have more exciting news: Taryn Yates' mare Orisis will return to Natalie in May, possibly for the next two years as Taryn is completing Vet school and doing an internship.
We would also like to welcome Carly Swisher as our working student. She has already been fantastic and Natalie already can't imagine life without her!
January 2011
January 22: January is flying by! We are very busy this month. A new arab cross mare, Twiggy came in for basic training on Thursday and is motoring right along. Hopefully we will be riding her next week.
Natalie is now training out of Alpenridge as well as teaching weekly lessons at Hawkview, Robertson Ranch, Healing Reins and a private facility in Tumalo.
All of the horses are doing great and we are gearing up for show season! Hopefully Welsie will be heading out at 3rd level and Molly at 1st. Billy is still searching for the right home and is working on learning flying changes this winter. He is absolutely gorgeous and going very well! Jaffa, our school horse is teaching many people how to ride and doing his job quite well.
Natalie is seeking a working student to start as soon as possible! Compensation would be through training rides or lessons and help at shows. Please contact Natalie if you are interested!
